Sample of work that I am proud to showcase
Hug it Forward Poster
I have been a bit busy over work, finally had some breathing time, so I went to checked Sparked to see if I can of some help there. Saw a post by Heenal of Hug It Forward asking for help on a poster. They needed to design a Cool EARTH DAY Poster for a FREE HUGS Event to raise money to build “bottle schools” in Guatemala. I love their cause and I try ny best to help see how I can support them using my skills. Here’s my proposal. A simple balanced layout with the questions on one side and the info on the other. Didn’t go with green instead choosing red as I feel it grabs the attention more and symbolize the love. Tell me what you think.
Dan Miller Podcast
While listening to Dan Miller’s 48 Days podcast, I was looking at his podcast thumbnail and felt the thumbnail was not doing him justice as it had a highly compressed photo of him and his right shoulder was “chopped” off. So I decided to whipped up a new one for him. A quick search using Google for Dan’s photo and rethinking the layout, I send him my mockup.
The next day, I received an email from his daughter, Ashley saying she loved it and would like to use it for the podcast, which I gladly agreed. A few changes and it’ll be ready! Here’s the 2nd revision. It’s not his signature yet, so waiting for it so I can prepare the final one. Hope he’ll talk about it in his podcast.

The Lead Institue
I have done several challenges on Sparked but not all proposals are actually used. While going through some of my past challenges, I noticed Chris from The Lead Institute was using the logo I designed. Nothing fancy, just a basic professional looking logo.
Pano app Icon
One of the things I enjoyed doing is seeing how to make a design better. Well, in my humble view, better. I dugged this icon design I did a while back, think in 2009. Pano is a panoramic app for the iPhone, takes pretty good panoramic shots but I felt the logo could be improved, so I redo the logo showing an iPhone wrapping around just like taking a pano shot. Sent the icon to the developers, they loved it but felt they wanted to stick to the same branding they have already established. Rollover to the their original logo vs mine.
Estill County Local-Motive
One of the projects that I did on Sparked.com is for Estill County 21st Century, Inc.. They needed a project logo. A sharp logo to help brand the initiative and be used on billboards, newspaper ads, and the web. They envisioned something featuring a steam locomotive and the name, “Estill County Local-Motive.”
So I took out my pencil and started sketching some ideas and came to decide on creating a logo of a train’s front view. A quick search on google and found a photo that I could work on. The final results is the logo beside. Glad they loved it!
Unique Farm to School Logo
When I saw this challenge, there was only a few days left to the closing of the project. Some of the proposals was ok but could be better, so I decided to give take on the project. My sketches revolve around the apple much like D.C. logo, but when I translated that to the computer, I saw the potential to making it more graphic. After some suggestions, I ended with the watermelon logo which the client loved! A fun enjoyable project! Rollover image to see a tomato variation.
